After water, tea is the most popular drink in the world. India is a place of natural beauty and also has many natural surprises, especially in terms of exotic flavors and aromas that enchant like no other, leaving one lost in an elysian spell. Tea is one from that basket. Tea is the most common taste in India and now, it is less of a beverage and more of a ritual here. Tea as a beverage when it’s hot is a regular entertainer, a part of gossip culture, an excuse for discussion …. Chai pe Charcha, and when it’s chilled is a refreshing drink. But on top of that Tea is, more importantly, a source of living and a household tradition in India. It is inseparable from the socio-cultural and socio-economic being of the country.
India is one of the largest tea producers in the world. The fact is that India itself consumes 70% of the tea it produces. This shows the unconditional love we hold in our hearts for our beloved tea brews. No matter the hour of the day, or the day of the month, a cup of tea is the key to a happy, healthy life for most people who have the luxury of sipping on exotic brews. If you ask, how many types of tea blends are there? The answer will be countless. With the rise of flavored tea varieties, there is plenty you can choose from. But each blend is available under every primary tea type like Black tea, Green tea, Oolong tea, Tisane teas, and the list goes on.

The northeast region itself produces over 1050 Million KG of tea and is the home to the best flavorsome Darjeeling Tea and Rich Assam Tea.
Assam, the home to the origin of Indian Tea, some 165 years ago, is also one of the most famous Tea production spots in the world. Both sides of the Brahmaputra river, constitute the world’s largest Tea Plantation area. Assam produces both Orthodox and CTC varieties of tea. Assam Tea has a rich, deep amber color and is famous for its rich, full-bodied cup. It is known for its brisk, strong, and malty character, making it a perfect treat for wake-up. The distinctive second flush orthodox Assam teas are valued for their rich taste, and bright liquors and are considered to be one of the choicest teas in the world.
In the same way, another magical produce comes from the snow-covered Himalayan ranges, especially Kanchenjunga peaks, in its foothills nestles the beautiful hill station Darjeeling. Dotted with magnificent sceneries and cozy hamlets, Darjeeling surprises and enchants the tourists in myriad ways. The small district of Darjeeling is also known in the world for its Tea having a rich aroma and delicate flavor. In contrast to 216,000 hectares of Assam’s Tea plantation area, Darjeeling has only about 20,000 hectares of Tea plantation area. Darjeeling Teas are also known as the “Champagne of Teas“. The aroma and taste of Darjeeling orthodox tea are unparalleled in the world. Darjeeling Tea is as exotic and mysterious as the hills themselves. A tradition steeped in history and a mystique that is felt in every sip. Walk into the cloudy mountains and feel light-hearted. Darjeeling Tea cannot be grown or manufactured anywhere else in the world. Just as Champagne is indigenous to the Champagne district of France, so is Darjeeling Tea to Darjeeling. To assist the Tea Board in its role of authenticating the regional origin of Darjeeling Tea, it has developed a unique logo, known as the Darjeeling logo. Use of the DARJEELING word and logo are protected as Geographical Indications (GI) in India and as Certification Trade Marks (CTM) in the UK, USA, Australia, and Taiwan. The Darjeeling tea when brewed gives a color of pale lemon to rich amber. The brew is said to have remarkably varying degrees of visual brightness, depth, and body. The flavor emanating from the brew is a fragrance with a complex and pleasing taste and aftertaste with attributes of aroma, bouquet, and point. The organoleptic characteristics of the Darjeeling tea brew are commonly referred to as mellow, smooth, round, delicate, mature, sweet, lively, dry, and brisk.
